Simple, reliable and cost-effective: no moving parts, no separate oil container, no fuss. The PURE Line covers 90 to 7,600 cfm.
STERLING Separators
Our separators are designed around a single key principle: simplicity works! No gravity pre-separation stage, no separate oil container to empty, no moving parts to fail or adjust.
Separation is handled entirely by Purotech's Progressive Filtration Media: progressive and carefully graded, it outperforms both crude polypropylene and carbon in every measurable way. It lasts longer, handles emulsified condensate better, is cleaner to handle and produces a superior outlet quality.
The result is a separator range that is genuinely easy to sell, easy to install, and, critically, easy to maintain.
The PURE Line
The PURE Line covers compressed air systems from 15 kW to 1,100 kW, handling 90 to 7,600 cfm across eight models. Select by system power or air flow to find the right separator.
| Model | System power | Capacity (cfm) | Capacity (m³/min) |
|---|---|---|---|
| PL15 | 15 kW | 90 | 2.5 |
| PL30 | 30 kW | 200 | 5.7 |
| PL75 | 75 kW | 530 | 15.0 |
| PL160 | 160 kW | 1,150 | 32.6 |
| PL320 | 320 kW | 2,300 | 65.1 |
| PL480 | 480 kW | 3,450 | 97.0 |
| PL550 | 550 kW | 3,800 | 107.0 |
| PL1100 | 1,100 kW | 7,600 | 215.0 |
Every PURE Line separator shares the same design principle: no moving parts, cartridge or simple bag service process, and no separate oil container to empty. PL15 is our patented compact unit for the smallest systems; the largest models use standard commercially available IBCs to keep capital cost down on high-flow installations. An AF media upgrade is available across the range for emulsified or other complex condensates.
Special Application
Standard oil/water separators can struggle when condensate is emulsified, a situation that arises with certain compressor oils, additives or process conditions.
STERLING offers an AF (Active Filtration) upgrade for these situations: enhanced filter media within the same separator housing that delivers effective separation even with difficult emulsified condensate. No need for a different product range; just specify AF when ordering, or upgrade easily after installation.

How It Works
Condensate from the compressed air system enters the separator and passes through the filter media. The media captures oil droplets and allows clean water to pass through to the outlet: no gravity separation stage, no adjustable weir, no separate oil disposal can.
Nothing to adjust, wear out, or leak
Fits easily in any plant room
Quick, clean, safe to touch. Larger kits supplied in two parts for ease of handling
Easily outperforms carbon. The Purotech media is from ISO 14001 accredited sources, and processed under ISO 9000
